Giant robots against marine monsters? What more could you ask for?

Supported by authentically impressive visuals, Pacific Rim, the latest prank from Guillermo del Toro, takes you to a near future in which the human race faces almost certain devastation after the invasion of some monstrous creatures, called Kaiju. They come from the sea to start a war that will kill millions of lives and consume mankind's resources for endless years. To fight them, we have designed a special type of weapon: huge robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are united in a neural bridge.

But that's not enough, and facing defeat before the tireless Kaiju, in Pacific Rim the forces defending humanity will have to make a desperate choice, and trust everything to what two unlikely heroes can do: a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an apprentice who hasn't yet been tested (Rinko Kikuchi), aboard a legendary but apparently obsolete Jaeger of the past, known as Gipsy Danger.
